LCHC and LCNC's pilot build - a straw bale office...

We spent 25 days spread over July to October this year building a load bearing straw bale office for the co-operative in one member's garden. It was very hard work! We made lots of friends,

developed as a group

AND we have built a water tight building with our own hands very quickly!

Although it is not finished we have  learnt an enormous amount both about running projects and straw bale building. We will continue to have monthly volunteer days through the winter and finish the roof garden, ramp and final touchs in the spring.
